The 2009 season brought about some sweeping changes. The shortblock was built with Wiseco & Manley internals, cams from FP, and valvetrain from Supertech. The latest 80mm FP Red turbo was installed and drag radials from Nitto wrapped all four corners. The weakest link proved to be the single disc ACT clutch, which prevented proper high RPM shifting.

The 2007 season was the first year the RallyEvo was tracked. This was a time for the team to get comfortable with the stock & lightly modded versions of the car. Each trip showed great progress, with a 2mph increase in ET speed with each visit back to the track. The last run of the year showed that the stock clutch was unable to handle the 400hp output of the engine, but that a 109mph ET meant the car could easily run a low 12 quarter mile on a stronger clutch.
